And everything you feel, and wish, and want to forget, it all just sinks. And everything stops: your heart, your lungs, then finally, your brain. And every time you breathe, you breathe out all the oxygen you have. That moment when your breath starts to slow. And I know it all may seem sad, but guess what? I didn't build this system, nor did I fuck it up. or to be honest, anyone capable of giving on iota of good fucking advice. SYSTEM: Attention, students, we need to lockdown. RUE: I just showed up one day, without a map or a compass. LESLIE: Why is the co-payment $300? Rue, did you eat breakfast? RUE: And at some point, you make a choice about who you are and what you want. GIA: Did you see that video of the beauty queen who got acid thrown on her face? How could he suddenly be out of network? (.) I can't afford it. LESLIE: You said the doctor was in our network. RUE: Until every second of every day, you find yourself trying to outrun your anxiety. RUE: And every now and then, if I focused too closely on the way I breathed. TEACHER: Does anybody have any idea of what a preposition might be? Just that the world moved fast and my brain moved slow. RUE: I don't remember much between the ages of eight and 12. LESLIE: And your favorite, Britney Spears. Plenty of great, intelligent, funny, interesting, and creative people have struggled with the same things you struggle with. LESLIE: Honey, it's just the way your brain was hardwired. RUE: It's not like I was physically abused. THERAPIST: I'd say she's suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder. RUE: And then, without warning, a middle-class childhood in an American suburb. RUE: My mother and father spent two days in the hospital, holding me under the soft glow of the television, watching those towers fall over and over again, until the feelings of grief gave way to numbness. BUSH: I can hear you, I can hear you, the rest of the world hears you, and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon. I put up a good fight, but I lost, for the first time, but not the last. over and over by the cruel cervix of my mother, Leslie. Then one day, for reasons beyond my control, I was repeatedly crushed. Sloshing around in my own private, primordial pool.

Sales resumes of freshers in this field should be of one-page and for those who have over 10 years of experience it should be two pages. Professionals with 20+ years of work experience in sales will structure their sales resumes differently than, say, people who have finished half a dozen different internships and are now ready to start. How these 4 sections are played around on an actual sales resume can range from professional to professional. The broad structure of sales resumes is divided into the Professional Summary, Professional Experience, Key Skills, and Education. But there are a few things which you can certainly do.īy understanding how a sales resume is structured. While we’ll talk about making sales resumes ATS-friendly in detail in this guide itself, there are a few things which are not in your control - the number of applicants, how exactly an ATS is programmed, what specific things the HR is looking for, etc. The situation is worse in most MNCs (yes, including the MNC that you have your eyes on), where the scale at which they operate makes the ATS an indispensable tool for filtering out applications. You can’t expect a bunch of poor HRs to pour over thousands of applications that they receive for a single sales vacancy, right? Most companies use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to filter out all job applications. And in such a scenario, the formula to survive is simple: eat or be eaten.Įver wonder what happens when weeks go by without you receiving even a single confirmation from the recruiter? Was your sales resume so bad that they did not see it worth their while to even spend a second on it?īefore you blast off a list of back-alley insults to the recruiter, consider this: what if s/he didn’t even get a chance to look at your sales resume?īelieve it or not, this happens more frequently than you think. You know it’s a dog-eat-dog world simply because of the very nature of the profession. If you’re a sales professional who has been in the field, you know the level of competition which is out there. Are you the one to wallow in self-pity, or are you the one to take charge of the situation and do something about it? It’s not the ratio itself which is disheartening. How To Make An ATS Friendly Sales Resumeīefore you go to sleep at night, do you calculate the number of companies that you sent your sales resume to? Do you have nightmares of a cubicle full of HRs pouring over your sales resume and having a hearty laugh?ĭo you try to compute the ratio of how many callbacks you received? And does that ratio make you feel helpless?.Our guide will broadly cover the following topics: Write your resume points in the correct fashion.Provide the correct personal information. Decide when to make an objective section and when to go for a summary section.List out your skills in the correct format. Our guide to writing the best sales resume will tell you how to beat the competition and help you find the Wolf-of-Wall-Street-esque company you are looking for and deserve!īy the end of this article, you'll be able to: The key to unlocking that mystery lies in that one-pager sales professional resume that you mindlessly send anywhere and everywhere. How about you let go of the raging fist and take a step back. Is it because your sales resume did not have what it takes, or is it because the competition is just too high? And how many of those bothered to call back? Is your hand curling into a raging fist because, surprise surprise, no one did? That’s what a perfect sales resume is, isn’t it? You are selling yourself and if the recruiter likes the product, you are shortlisted.īut if you start counting the number of companies you sent your sales professional resume to, you might need a third hand (or fourth?). If you’re looking for a new or better sales job, there’s no point in registering record-breaking sales in your previous profile if you can’t sell yourself on a piece of paper. Isn’t it ironic that you generated stellar sales in your last sales profile, are confident that you’ll crack any interview, but a tiny snippet of a fact skipped your mind - that you have to reach the interview stage? To get the sales job of your dreams, you need to pass the interview - and in this blog, we will help you achieve this. That all these measures relate to a common construct called self-control has been assumed often by face-validity (e.g., “I am good at resisting temptations” Stroop performance requires inhibiting word-reading), but seldom investigated empirically (cf., Duckworth & Kern, 2011). The lack of empirical correlation between measures of self-control do not invalidate either measure, but instead suggest that treatments of the construct of self-control need to pay greater attention to convergent validity among the many measures used to operationalize self-control. Consequently, theoretical and practical conclusions drawn using one measure (e.g., the Self-Control Scale) cannot be generalised to findings using the other (e.g., the Stroop task). These results suggest that the field’s most widely used measure of self-reported self-control is uncorrelated with two of the most widely adopted executive functioning measures of self-control. The Bayesian meta-analytical summary of all five data-sets further favoured a null relationship between both types of measurement. Overall, Bayesian correlational analyses suggested little-to-no relationship between self-reported self-control and performance on the Stroop and Flanker tasks. In a series of five data-sets (overall N = 2,641) and a mini meta-analysis, we explored the association between canonical operationalisations of self-control: The Self-Control Scale and two measures of inhibition-related executive functioning (the Stroop and Flanker paradigms). Self-control is assessed using a remarkable array of measures. You can also scan individual folders/files and schedule any of these scans to happen daily, weekly, or on bootup. For example, you can run a Deep Scan (scans for rootkits and other advanced threats), Full Scan (scans all of your local hard drives), or Quick Scan (only scans high-risk areas of a device). Since it’s cloud-based, it doesn’t use much CPU and disk space while performing a scan. Webroot uses a cloud-based malware directory and heuristic analysis to detect threats on your machine. Webroot Security Features Antivirus Scanner Webroot offers several payment plans that cover either 1, 3, or 5 Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS devices - and all of Webroot’s plans have a 70-day money-back guarantee, which is more generous than any other brand on the market. Overall Webroot lacks some additional features, but it’s still a decent antivirus with a minimal impact on system performance. Webroot also lacks useful features like parental controls, and its VPN is only available as a separate purchase. But the web protection, identity protection, and system optimizer aren’t as good as similar protections from the best antiviruses on the market. The LastPass password manager that comes with Webroot is great - in fact it’s one of the best password managers on the market. Webroot also includes the following additional features: In my testing, the antivirus scanner caught 93.1% of the malware samples I hid on my device - while this is a good result, competitors like Norton and Bitdefender all scored 100% malware detection rates in my testing. Webroot is a lightweight cloud-based antivirus program with a good malware scanner, an excellent password manager, and some other decent extra features. Toro eventually assumed full control of the business. If anyone has experience working in the bagel business, or knows how to make these bagels, please help! Some say that the recipe bagel shops use now isn't the real one dating back to the beginnings, but I'm not interested in being authentic to the origins. I am beginning to think the actual recipe is a closely guarded secret. They are already much plumper than mine at this stage. In the attached screen capture from Tompkins, the bagel maker places rolled bagels tightly onto a dusted wooden bread sheet. When I watch videos from bagel shops their dough seems much more elastic and airy. It certainly isn't boiling time, I have gone down to 45 seconds on each side. I am not really sure what I am doing wrong. I have the wooden bagel boards, food grade lye, diastatic malt powder, malt syrup, all the stuff I think I need. My biggest issue at the moment is that the bagels do not plump up that much, they tend to be flat. Most recipes either produce a crust that resembles a pretzel or an inner texture that is way too dense. They are both good, but do not produce commercial style NYC bagels. I have tried the Jeffrey Hamel and Peter Reinhart recipes. There are some videos on YouTube that show parts of the bagel process but what I am lacking are the finer details such as resting times between kneading, rolling, bath ingredients, etc. I am going for the Absolute Bagel, Essa-Bagel, Tompkins Bagel experience. Again, they will produce good bagels, but not the NYC bagel shop style bagels. The recipes online that claim to be NYC bagels are also not NYC bagels. There have been plenty of attempts producing good bagels, however they are not NYC bagels. I have been trying to reproduce this ever since leaving NY. I have an obsession with the bagels I grew up with in NY. |
